2010 sees the return of the popular event of Whale Boat Racing on the Hopkins River in Warrnambool. Teams of 6 will compete in Mixed, Men's and Women's categories on the Hopkins River in this heritage based sport. We encourage you, your friends and families to take up the challenge! Or just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the stunning river precinct.
Racing will commence at 10am, and with numbers expected to exceed 30 teams, racing will conclude at approximately 4pm. Presentations and international challenge (Australia v USA) will occur after the finals of each category. Presentations are expected to conclude at approximately 5pm.
Proudfoots Boat House will be open for meals and refreshments and offers great balcony views of the races, and markets stalls and BBQ will be available from the banks of the river.
Training commenced in November, and teams will be accepted until late January.
