| RAVEN is Australia's oldest ship reconstruction, a full-size, sailing recreation of a 15th century Spanish or Portuguese caravel in the final stages of construction.
RAVEN is a truly unique endeavour, having been researched, designed and created by one amateur boatbuilder, Graeme Wylie.
RAVEN's keel was laid in January 2001, with launching planned for late 2009.
RAVEN has been constructed entirely from reclaimed timber, mostly Monterey cypress, with traditional boatbuilding methods used when possible.
RAVEN was inspired by the legendary Mahogany Ship. OPEN FOR INSPECTION: Tues - Sat :10am -12 noon, Sun 1pm - 4pm. Enquiries welcome, phone 03 55654208. |
